Yesterday a bunch of us went up to Stevens Pass for what promised to be a great day after fresh snows. We got there with little traffic, but then we hit the lift ticket lines which were out of control. I waited about 45 min in my line. Aaron waited an hour and Derek was picking up his Advantage card and didn’t get going for 1 1/2 hours.

After we got our ridiculously expensive lift tickets, we found the lift lines to be short and the snow was great. Even on the front side, we found lots of spots where the snow was deep and untouched. We hit the back side after lunch and were treated to some great tree skiing and more short lift lines.

Maybe everyone was stuck in the ticket line and eventually starved and didn’t make it onto the mountain.
