Another pre-ski sleepless night led into what would be a great day on the far-away slopes of Mt. Baker. With about 1-2 hours of sleep, Mason’s jitney service rolls up to my door at 6am and within 5 min we’re on our way to Baker. We didn’t see any sign of sun until somewhere around Mt. Vernon. I don’t really remember because I was fast asleep.

After a quick caffeine stop and a change in drivers we concluded the trek to Baker and made it onto the slopes around 9:30. It had snowed around 8″ overnight and we were treated to perfect cascade concrete.

Overall it was a great day of skiing plus a great leg workout from the heavy snow.
