I’m a model and I’m too sexy for my shirt

A photographer friend of mine recently asked me to model in a photo shoot.

Go ahead, catch your breath…

I was stunned as well. But then he said he needed a bunch of people to do it and that it would be awesome if I could and so I agreed. My payment was to be copies of the photographcs. Anything to help out a friend. So it comes time to do the shoot and I make my way over to Pravda studios where the shoot was to take place. It’s a really beautiful space.

I’ve never modeled before. In fact, I’m usually the one behind the lens. I don’t like my picture taken, but I was willing to step out of my comfort zone for an afternoon and “help out a friend.”

It took about an hour or two and overall wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t the hardest work I’ve done, but after standing in front a camera, forcing nonchalance like I was giving birth to a two-headed turtle, I realized that modeling is not a glamorous job. At the end, I was hungry, sweaty, tired, blinded by flashes, and emotionally spent after sacrificing myself for the camera for only an hour.

Well, here are the fruits of my labor. For an autographed print, send $500 with a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Prints will be shipped in 6-8 weeks.
