We’ve decided to book a last minute trip to New Mexico for this weekend and we’re heading out to Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Taos. From all the web sites for hotels and things to do, it appears we’re headed into Kitsch central. Yes, I spell it with a capital “K”. Being that we booked last-minute, our options were limited. So, in Santa Fe, we’ll be staying at the Silver Saddle Motel. Yeee-haaaw!

In Taos, we’re staying at the Laughing Horse Inn per a friend’s recommendation. We’ll be staying in Georgia’s room:

Georgia O’Keeffe often stayed in this room when she came over to hang out with the Taos Gang of writers and artists in the 30s. Our most comfortable queen bed awaits you within the 2-foot-thick adobe walls of the original bedroom of our 1887 adobe, along with a twin bed for a third person.
